Dear Families, October 1, 2020
Happy October! Hope your families are getting into a routine either in brick and mortar or by remote learning. Thank you for helping us with dropping off/picking up students at the various doors to help keep social distancing. I know learning is looking different for all students and it is taking a team approach more than ever. The adjustments your family has made is much appreciated. Please continue to reach out to your teachers for any questions you may have!
Parent/Teacher Conferences will be occurring at the end of the month. Teachers will be setting up ZOOM conferences soon! We look forward to sharing the progress your child is making!
PTO will be having a ZOOM meeting during the month! Hope you will join us.
Computers are to go home with students every day unless there is an agree- ment between teachers, students, and parents. Please make sure the computers are kept safe, charged and returned every day in case we have to move to remote learning.
Student arrival begins at 7:45. Please plan your morning accordingly so students aren’t having to wait unsupervised outside of the school.
Please read with your children every night either by e-books or library books. We are so excited to be able to check books out again in the building. Creating that ritual every evening, makes for some pretty special memories. Let alone the difference in the learning it will make for them. Ask them about AR testing in grades 2—5. Do you know if they have tested yet on a book and how many points they have accumulated? If not ask your child or email their teacher!
Take care and stay Falcon strong,
October is Bullying Prevention Month:
Every day thousands of young people experience bullying from their peers while at school, after school in their neighborhoods, and even when they are at home, through social media and texts. There are many ways to support bullying prevention as an individual or with friends and family, and within your school or community.
Unity Day: October 5th Wear and Share Orange!
Make is orange and make it end! Lets come together in one giant
ORANGE message of hope and support, WEAR ORANGE to show
everyone that no child should ever experience bullying.

Red Ribbon Week is used as a way of taking a stand for our hopes and dreams through making a commitment of saying “no” to drugs and alcohol. Each student is invited to participate in a week of fun activities to celebrate our choice to be drug free.
Oct. 22 Band together against drugs. Wear as much RED as you can!
Oct. 26 Too bright to use drugs. Wear BRIGHT colors and crazy socks.
Oct. 27 Living Drug Free is no sweat. Wear sweatpants and sweat shirts!
Oct. 28 Team up against drugs. Wear SPORTS jerseys or shirts!
Breakfast is served to all students beginning at 7:45 until 8:00.
Please remember to call the school as soon as you know your child will be absent or tardy that day.
Student will be admitted into the building at 7:45. Temperatures will be taken at that time.
The final bell rings at 3:15. Students will be escorted to their assigned exit door. If your child has an appointment throughout the day, the front office will work with you in regard to having your child brought to the office.
